Agios Georgios in Pagi or Pagoi, known also as San George or Saint George, is a charming village nestled on the picturesque northwest coast of Corfu, known for its tranquility and natural beauty.  A leisurely stroll through the village reveals cosy tavernas serving delicious traditional cuisine and local cafes where you can savour a Greek ice coffee.

But the true jewel of Agios Georgios is its magnificent beach, stretching over five kilometers along the Ionian Sea. The golden sands and crystal-clear waters provide an idyllic setting for sunbathing and swimming. Divided into sections, the beach offers sunbeds, water sports, and opportunities for relaxation.

Porto Timoni

Porto Timoni is famed for its unique double beach, a natural wonder where two idyllic shores are separated by a narrow strip of land. The left side is referred to as Limni, while the right is known as Porto Timoni. Along the route, you’ll come across the remnants of medieval fortifications that once stood guard against pirates and corsairs, infusing the landscape with a sense of history. Following the same path, you’ll eventually reach Cape “Akra Arilla,” home to the charming cave-ensconced chapel of “Agios Stylianos.” The peninsula’s tip, affectionately known as the “Head of Mourgis,” takes on the distinctive shape of a dog’s head.

Afionas

This charming village offers visitors a taste of authentic Greek culture and a glimpse into the island’s rich history. Perched on a hill, Afionas provides breathtaking panoramic views of the azure Ionian Sea, creating an ideal setting for unforgettable sunsets. The trek downhill is relatively manageable, although it involves a steep path with sizable rocks and typically takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. It’s essential to be aware that there are no facilities available at the beach.
